On September 9, the Discovery Program for Global Learners (aka “GDP")
held the Virtual Information Session. A total of 35 high school
students and parents from mainly abroad participated in the event.
During the information session, the program faculty gave a general
explanation of the program and its admissions process, after which
current students elaborated on their experiences as GDP students. Then,
Q&A session was held. The meeting was a great success, with many
participants coming actively asking questions about the admissions
process, curriculum, scholarships, and student life.
GDP was established in October 2017 as a faculty where international
students from all over the world, returnees, and graduates from high
schools in Japan can come together to study subjects from a wide variety
of fields while sharing their diverse cultures and experiences. The
program aims to nurture students to be active on the global stage by
encouraging them to design a unique program of study that is not
restricted by department or faculty.
